The department of ophthalmic ultrasound has an optical ultrasonograph (P45 Ultrasonic Workstation, PARADIGM) with possibilities of Â-ecography, diagnostic A-ecography and biometry. Â-ecography offers information about the inside of the eye with hazy, refractive means and contributes in the design of the treatment strategy. Diagnostic Á-ecography offers important clues which help in the differential diagnosis of intraocular tumors.
